He wouldn't have done this last time, with the water poisonous, but with it safe now he feels it's ok to summon Sealion.
Sealion is tall enough for them to climb on to reach the tunnel entrance, if the Magelets can be coaxed into doing so. They're still a little skittish around the giant ice monster.
